Papercycle.in was created to solve a real-world problem. India’s fragmented and inefficient dry waste recycling system. Co-founded during the year 2020, the platform evolved into a fully operational recycling service across six cities. This project involved building an end-to-end digital ecosystem for customers, pickup executives, and operational management. Streamlining everything from pickup requests to real-time payments and business reporting.

Problem Statement
The traditional waste recycling ecosystem was unreliable, burdened with too many middlemen, and lacked any real transparency. Households and businesses had no streamlined way to schedule pickups, receive quotations, or track what happened to their waste after collection. Payments were handled manually, often delayed or inconsistent. And there was no reliable system for maintaining records. Overall, recycling was disorganized, inconvenient, and lacked the digital infrastructure needed to build trust and scale sustainable habits.

Solutions
Designed and launched the Papercycle Android app and website for seamless pickup requests, status tracking, and customer dashboards.
Developed a visual dashboard for users to monitor recycling history, payments, and waste volume.
Enabled businesses to receive auto-generated quotations and invoices, supporting B2B operations.
Built a dedicated interface for pickup executives to manage schedules and confirm orders in real time.
Integrated UPI payments into the app—allowing customers to receive instant payments directly to their bank accounts.
Crafted a cohesive brand identity, including the logo, visual language, and tone of voice, to establish trust and clarity.
Conducted user research and validation to secure early investor interest and fuel expansion.
Now operational in 6 cities across Odisha, processing over 120 orders daily and continuously scaling.
